Ozell ‘Rusty’ Gable
Funeral services for Ozell “Rusty” Gable, 85, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Duck River Baptist Church, Donny Yarbrough and Sherman Bailey officiating, with interment in the church cemetery. She will lie in state one hour prior to services.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gable died Tuesday, March 5.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas P. and Allie B. Jacobs; a son, Tony Maurice Gable; brothers, Juno Jacobs, Hoyt Jacobs, Milton Jacobs and Harvey Jacobs; and sisters, Vernell Baker and Mamie Willcut.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Cortez Gable; daughter, Judith (Donald) Reid; grandson, Jonathan (Allison) Reid; great-granddaughters, Gracie and Ellieana Reid; brothers, George (Shelby) Jacobs and Buck (Juanita) Jacobs; sisters, Lorell Powell and Labell Taylor; and sisters-in-law, Thelma Jacobs and Pauline Williams.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
