CULLMAN — Dot Franklin Causey

Funeral services for Dot Franklin Causey, 84, of Cullman will be at 3  p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at the Cullman Church of Christ, Bro. Del Brock officiating, with burial in Cullman Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Causey passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham. She was born March 17, 1930, in Tupelo, Miss., to Robert Walter and Dollie Gean Franklin. She worked at Childhaven for 45 years with her final title as deputy director. She was a member of Cullman Church of Christ for 58 years, and had a great love for all of the people who worked and lived there over the years. After her retirement, she actively participated in the Cullman Fidelia Club, and loved baking cakes and making candy for everyone she knew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Gene Causey; and a brother, Hershell Franklin.

Survivors include two daughters, Allison Lea Causey and Kathy Causey (Steve) Scruggs; three sisters, Hazel Street, Geraldean Monaghan and Virginia Miller; two grandchildren, Ben Cody (Angie) Scruggs and Richard Franklin (Sylvia) Scruggs; two great-grandchildren, Clayde and Kira Scruggs.

The family request donations be made in her memory to Childhaven.
