CULLMAN — Gladys Ozell Burnett

Graveside services for Gladys Ozell Burnett, 94, of Athens will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at Limestone Memorial Gardens, Father Dave Basinger and Wayne Kuykendall officiating.

Spry Funeral Home in Athens is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Burnett died Saturday, Sept. 29, at Limestone Health Facility. She was born March 28, 1918, in Cullman County, the fourth of five children born to Charles and Emma Frances Powell. She was the wife of Athens businessman, H.E. “Hank” Burnett. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Taft, Joel Carmen “Dude”, and Fred; and her sister, Estelle Powell.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth (Betty) Burnett of Athens; three granddaughters, Angela (Fiancé Tim Bell) Burnett of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Frances Burnett (Mike) Stevenson of Athens; three stepgranddaughters; two nieces; three great-grandsons; and two sisters-in-law, Maxine Baker of Birmingham and Anice Powell of Baileyton.
