CULLMAN — Floyd Hugh Braswell

Floyd Hugh Braswell, 61, of Bremen, formerly of Moultrie, Ga., died Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Ga.

Services will be at Moss-Service Funeral Home, Sunday, April 28, in Cullman, Pastor Mitchell Williams officiating. The public viewing is from 1 to 3 p.m. with services at 3 p.m.

Born in Moultrie, Ga., Floyd was the son of the late Hugh Dorsey Braswell and Florel Prince Braswell. He was retired from the Internal Revenue Service after working 31 years. Floyd enjoyed retirement and loved standing around a fire with family and friends. He was a kindhearted, giving person who always helped others. Everyone who met him became a friend, being captured by his sense of humor and joy for life. All who knew Floyd loved him. 

He is survived by his wife, Carin Bedard Braswell of Bremen, Ala.; sons, Denver (Jessica) Braswell of Lenox, Ga., and Sonny Braswell of Norman Park, Ga.; daughter, Lori (Scott) Tyson of Norman Park; brother, William (Mary “Pee Wee”) Braswell of Moultrie; sister, Beth Benton of Moultrie; seven grandchildren, Brett Tyson, Savannah Tyson, Matthew Tyson, Shelby Braswell, Addi Braswell, Laney Braswell, and Mabre Braswell; a niece; and several nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to your favorite heart fund in Mr. Braswell’s memory.

    Carlton Eugene Stafford, 82, of Cullman passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1932, James and Mary Katherine Brown Stafford. Mr. Stafford was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was the original owner of Carlton’s restaurant.
