Harvey D. ‘Shorty’ Green
Funeral services for Harvey D. “Shorty” Green, 84, of Hanceville will be Monday, June 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel; with interment in South Cemetery in Blountsville.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Green passed away on Friday, June 8, 2012 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Oneonta on March 2, 1928 and was a talented musician.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Della Lou Banks Green; his wife, Robbie Green; a daughter, Annette Green; a brother, Marvin Green and a sister, Maybell Berry.
He is survived by three children, Martha Gilliland, Phillip Dale “Buddy” (Betty) Green and Rodger (Linda) Green; two brothers, Jerry (Respa) Green and Quenion (Elizabeth) Green; a sister, Shirley Baty; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
The family would like to thank Freddie McDuffy, a friend and caregiver, for all the help he gave to Mr. Green.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
