HARTSELLE — Margaret Ann Halbrooks Cole

Funeral services for Margaret Ann Halbrooks Cole, 80, of Hartselle will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at First United Methodist Church, the Revs. Harold Thompson, Robert Sparkman and Bobby Ray Halbrooks officiating, with burial in Salem Cemetery.

Peck Funeral Home of Hartselle is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Cole died Sunday, Feb. 24, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. She was born July 25, 1932, in Morgan County to Lonnie and Annie Mae Orr Halbrooks. She married Rev. W.L. Cole Jr. on July 26, 1947. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband; and a brother, Charles Halbrooks.

Survivors include a son, Dwight (Kaye) Cole of Crane Hill; two daughters, Peggy (Phil) Gann of Decatur and Verna (Mike) Booth of Birmingham; a sister, Bebe McCormick Reid of Danville; six grandchildren, Anthony (Teri) Watson, Mechelle Burcham, Brandy (Anthony) Lewter, Wes (Jennifer) Booth, Tim (Laura) Cole and Matt Cole; six great-grandchildren, Summer (Cory) Hastings, Chance Ellsworth, Brancen Lewter, Elijah Cole, Amos Booth and Lydia Cole; and three great-grandchildren, Blaxton Royster, Brayleigh Royster and Chloe Hastings.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Care First Hospice, 1400 Urban Center Drive, Vestavia, AL 35242.

Pallbearers will be Anthony “Bubba” Watson, Wes Booth, Tim Cole, Matt Cole, Chance Ellsworth, Brancen Lewter, Anthony Lewter and Kenny McCormick.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
