CULLMAN — Billy Warren Federer

Funeral services for Billy Warren Federer, 71, of Crane Hill will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. Jeff Steele and Rev. Steve Bryan officiating, with burial in Oak Level Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Federer was born Feb. 6, 1942, in Cullman to Ocie Henderson and Reba Mae McPherson Federer. He passed away at his residence Sunday, Feb. 24. Billy was drafted to serve his country during the Vietnam war in the U.S. Army. He continued his family business at Federer Farm Supply for over 25 years; and he enjoyed being on the road driving his truck during that time as well. In his free time, deer hunting was a passion, and living on the lake. But one of his greatest joys was the love of and for his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jimmie Lambert Federer; and a brother, Charles Federer.

Survivors include a daughter, Chanda (Alan) Scott; a son, Chad (Shannon) Federer; five grandchildren, Savannah Federer, Ty Federer, Natalie Scott, Aubrey Scott and Garrett Scott; five sisters, Rebecca (Clark) Branch, Jane (Jerry) Coughlin, Jean (Ronnie) Thomas, Kathy (Jim) Stewart and Tennia (Dan) Isley; and a brother, Joe (Melba Jo) Federer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Big Oak Ranch at POB 507, Springville, AL 35146.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
