Ellie Easter Allred Key

JASPER — Ellie Easter Allred Key

Ellie Easter Allred Key of Jasper exchanged time for eternity on June 26, 2013 at the age of 89.

Victory Assembly of God Church was formed in October 1962 and Ellie was at the first meeting of the church. On November 25, 1962, when the church started accepting membership Ellie was one of the first members to join the church becoming a charter member of Victory Assembly of God.

While the church was a big part of her life so was her community. She worked at Marshall Durbin for several years, but the majority of her life she owned and worked at the Pineywoods Community Store. In her life she earned every title. A little short lady full of energy, always doing something for someone else, who loved everyone.

Collins-Burke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She died Friday, July 26, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. She was a resident of Jasper.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Victory Assembly of God, with Steve Fowler and James Aaron officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include her daughters: Viola Williams (Learnon), of Bremen, Margie Burton (Jimmy) or Cullman, and Charlene Key Painter of Jasper; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.
