CULLMAN — Lehnessia Joyace Gamble Barfield

Lehnessia Joyace Gamble Barfield, 52, of Cullman passed away on July 28, 2013 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Nov. 16, 1960, in Louisville, Ky., to Joe B. Gamble Sr. and Darlene Duke Gamble. She was a nurse at Marshall Manor in Guntersville, Ala.

There will be a praise party and celebration of her life at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at the family farm at 365 County Road 501, Hanceville 35077.

Ms. Barfield was preceded in death by her dad, Joe B. Gamble Sr.; a son, Patrick Ryan; and a sister, Karen Gamble.

Survivors include her mother, Dalene Gamble; two daughters, Michelle McAnnally and Abigail Ryan; three grandchildren, Brian McAnnally, Prisca McAnnally and Savana McAnnally; three brothers, Joe Gamble Jr., Terry Gamble Sr. and Jason Gamble; four sisters, Charlotte Chaney, Jolene Bethke, Cherrie Haney and Katrina Parker; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.

    Carlton Eugene Stafford, 82, of Cullman passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1932, James and Mary Katherine Brown Stafford. Mr. Stafford was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was the original owner of Carlton’s restaurant.

    Susan Werner died Monday, July 21, 2014, as a result of an apparent fall at her home in Gainesville, Florida. Susan grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and, after graduation from FSU, spent many years in Cullman, where she taught elementary school and received a master’s degree from UAB. While in Cullman, she married Robert Werner and helped run a family retail business.
