Funeral services for Roxie Carden, 93, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Emeus Baptist Church, the Revs. Haynes Riddle and G.T. Robertson officiating, with interment in Emeus Cemetery. Mrs. Carden will lie in state for one hour prior to the service.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Buster Carden; a son-in-law, Ray Still; a great-great-grandson, Walter Gable; three brothers: Comer, Farris and J.T. Campbell; and five sisters, Zonie Bailey, Velma Bagwell, Lucie Ellenburg, Marie Sears and Evie Abbott.
Our dear loved one went home to be with the Lord Monday, Nov. 12, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born May 19,1919, in Cullman to Jack and Edna Eddy Campbell. She was the sweetest, most precious, most loving, and most of all, a spiritual lady. She loved everyone unconditionally. She was known for opening her home to any and everyone. Her love of cooking was shared with everyone that came by and she was known for her fried apple pies and home recipes. Her life was blessed by those who came and visited and in turn their life was blessed by her. Her expression of "I'm blessed" was evident up unto the end.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Still and Sheila (Danny) Riddle; a son, Rowdy (Wendi) Carden; a sister, Birdie Kilpatrick; 10 grandchildren, Jeff (Sonya) Still, Rory Still, Gabe (Wendy) Fulenwider, Haynes (Chelsia) Riddle, Claucie Riddle, Kyle (Lindsey) Carden, Kayla Carden, Clint Watson, Garrett Watson and Lilli Watson; 10 great-grandchildren, LaShane (Tony) Marlow, Wesley (Candice) Still, Cody Still, Caleb Still, Whitley Still, Haley Still, Grant Fulenwider, Gavin Fulenwider, Griffin Fulenwider and Charlee Fulenwider; and four great-great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn Gable, Chase Still, Delayne Still and Briilee Still.
Visitation was from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Carlton Eugene Stafford
Carlton Eugene Stafford, 82, of Cullman passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1932, James and Mary Katherine Brown Stafford. Mr. Stafford was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was the original owner of Carlton’s restaurant.
Susan Melissa Neck Werner
Susan Werner died Monday, July 21, 2014, as a result of an apparent fall at her home in Gainesville, Florida. Susan grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and, after graduation from FSU, spent many years in Cullman, where she taught elementary school and received a master’s degree from UAB. While in Cullman, she married Robert Werner and helped run a family retail business.
