Memorial services for Bernice L. Blalock, 87, of Harlingen, Texas, will be held at a later date.
Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home of Harlingen, Texas, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Blalock passed away Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, in Harlingen. She was born March 8, 1925, in Blount County to Lee Vader and Velma Reno White. She was a waitress for many years, a member of the Catholic church and had a passion for gardening. She lived in Florida for many years and moved to Harlingen three years ago.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; three sisters; and a grandson, Adam Blalock.
Survivors include her children, Jerry (Sally) Blalock of Pensacola, Fla., Kerry (JoAnn) Blalock, Sherry (David) Siekman of Harlingen, Terry (Lee Ann) Blalock of Spring Branch, Texas, and Perry (Hitomi) Blalock of Rancho Palos Verde, Calif.; three grandsons, four granddaughters; two great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters; and her beloved niece, Peggy Miller of Charlotte, N.C.
Memorial donations may be made to Dosses Creek Community Church, 320 County Road 68, Bremen, AL 35033.
