Betty Jane McClanahan Rooks
Funeral services for Betty Jane McClanahan Rooks, 81, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel, with a graveside service and interment at 1 p.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Vinemont.
Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
A loving mother of two, Mrs. Rooks passed away Monday, Dec. 31. She was born July 5, 1931, in Vinemont. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Loving members of her family surviving her are the love of her life and her husband of 62 years, Craford Rooks; a son, Craford Dexter (Wanda Brooks Rooks) Rooks; a daughter, Dottie Dale Rooks Tucker; a grandson, Brandon Charles Tucker; and a granddaughter, Shandie Roeshell (Adam Clay Summerford) Summerford.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
