Funeral services for Christine Robertson Carlisle, 65, and Charles E. Carlisle, 67, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, Elder Stephen Orian officiating, with interment in Fairview West Cemetery.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Christine passed away Saturday, March 9, at UAMS in Little Rock, Ark.
Charles passed away Monday, March 11, at Arkansas Hospice in Hot Springs, Ark.
Christine and Charles are survived by their sons, Charles E. Carlisle Jr. (Jennifer) and Kevin G. Carlisle (Autumn); and their grandchildren, Grant, Brittain and Chase.
Christine is also survived by her parents, Mayola and Carl Robertson; and her sister, Rita Nail.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Carlisle; and his sister, Linda Barber; but is also survived by his mother, Dorothy Carlisle.
Christine and Charles were married for 48 years and were together for over 50 years. That they should pass away together is a fitting end to a beautiful lifelong love story. They left it in God’s hands and wouldn’t have wanted it any different.

Carlton Eugene Stafford
Carlton Eugene Stafford, 82, of Cullman passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1932, James and Mary Katherine Brown Stafford. Mr. Stafford was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was the original owner of Carlton’s restaurant.
Susan Melissa Neck Werner
Susan Werner died Monday, July 21, 2014, as a result of an apparent fall at her home in Gainesville, Florida. Susan grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and, after graduation from FSU, spent many years in Cullman, where she taught elementary school and received a master’s degree from UAB. While in Cullman, she married Robert Werner and helped run a family retail business.
