Opal Daniel Daviss
Funeral services for Opal Daniel Daviss, 98, peacefully passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013. Opal was born in Cullman, Ala., and was a graduate of Cullman County High School. She resided in the Houston, Texas, area for most of her later years.
George H. Lewis and Sons of Houston, Texas, is in charge of arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Heiner and her second husband, Robert Daviss; her parents, Ophelia Josephine and James William Daniel; her six brothers and sisters, Irene Daniel Brown, Alton Edward Daniel, Walter Dewitt Daniel, Gladys Mae Daniel, James Cletus Daniel, and Byron Eugene Daniel; and a nephew, James Dennis Daniel.
Opal is survived by her nieces, Cynthia Daniel Blevins, Betty Daniel Davis, and Kay Daniel Smith.
Opal enjoyed traveling in her earlier years and especially enjoyed the years she spent on her ranch in Arkansas with her husband, Ralph. Opal was a wonderful, generous, vibrant lady who will be missed dearly.
At a later date, the family is to gather for a private interment service at Forest Park East in Houston.
