CULLMAN — Jake ‘Chester’ Stinson

Funeral service for Jake “Chester” Stinson , 79, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2012, at Peck Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Albert Dean Estes officiating, with burial in Cook Cemetery.

Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Stinson died Tuesday, July 3, at Huntsville Medical Center. He was born March 17, 1933, in Morgan County to Walter Stinson and Irene Morris Stinson, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Eva Stinson of Falkville; sons, Billy (Karen) Stinson of Montgomery and Terry (Denise) Stinson of Falkville; daughters, Becky (Garland) Bennett of Falkville, Judy (Darrell) Johnson of Shelbyville, Tenn., Wendy Stinson Collins of Falkville, Stephanie Russell of Falkville, Ruthie Griffin of Blountsville, and Patricia Howse of Hartselle; brother, Jimmy Stinson of Somerville; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Alan Stinson, Darrell Johnson, Garland Bennett, Craig Stinson, Tim Stinson and Jeff Stinson.    

Visitation will from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
