Buddy R. Whitten
Buddy R. Whitten, 76, of Tuscumbia, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013.
Mr. Whitten was a native of Winston County, Lynn, Ala. He graduated from Lynn High School in 1955 and attended Purdue University. In recent years, he was inducted into the Winston County Sports Hall of Fame. Mr. Whitten retired from Reynolds Metals Co. and worked at Wise Alloys. He also worked at Inland Steel, Indiana for 12 years and was a mechanical supervisor for Asia Aluminum Group in China. Mr. Whitten was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Gray Whitten; son, Russell Whitten (Charlene); daughter, Peggy Palmer (David) of Cullman; sister, Beth Manasco; grandchildren, John David Palmer of Cullman, Savannah Whitten and Jackson Whitten; nieces and nephews.
His graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2013, at Lynn Cemetery, Lynn, Ala. Russell Whitten, minister of Destin Church of Christ, and David Palmer will officiate.
The family expresses deep appreciation to the nurses and staff at Helen Keller Hospital and Keller Landing.
Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia is directing.

Funeral services for Ms. Sharon Capps Phillips, 69, of Springhill will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2014, at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, Mike Waters officiating, with interment at Springhill Cemetery.
James Edward McCravy
Funeral services for James Edward McCravy, 80, of Cullman will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Hanceville; with interment in Ebenezer Cemetery. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
