Funeral services for Thomas Charles Parish Sr., 64, of Goodwater will be at 3 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2013, at Faith Baptist Church in Sylacauga, Bro. Craig Ogle officiating, with burial in Old Providence Baptist Church.
Radney Funeral Home in Alexander City is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Parish passed away Wednesday, June 5, at his residence. He was born Aug. 23, 1948, in Randolph County, Ala., to George W. and Vera Mae Duke Parish. Mr. Parish attended Faith Baptist Church in Sylacauga, where he loved his church family and the Lord most of all. He worked at Madix for 43 years, and was a hard worker who took care of his family. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking and supporting his children and grandchildren in everything they did.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, William G. Parish and Aubrey Parish.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Onita J. Williams Parish; three sons, Thomas Charles Parish Jr. of Goodwater, Michael George Parish of Anniston and Steve (Darlene) Parish of Goodwater; grandchildren, Scott (Amanda) Parish, Travis (Kameron Colley) Parish, Kyle Parish, Branden (Angel) Parish, Samantha (Kevin) Bishop, and Nicholas Parish; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joyce Phillips, Mavolene (Harry) Bivens and Sarah (Billy J.) Payne; two brothers, Almon (Ann) Parish and Jack (Mary Ruth) Parish; and numerous nieces, nephews and close family members.
The family received friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Carlton Eugene Stafford, 82, of Cullman passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1932, James and Mary Katherine Brown Stafford. Mr. Stafford was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was the original owner of Carlton’s restaurant.

Susan Werner died Monday, July 21, 2014, as a result of an apparent fall at her home in Gainesville, Florida. Susan grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and, after graduation from FSU, spent many years in Cullman, where she taught elementary school and received a master’s degree from UAB. While in Cullman, she married Robert Werner and helped run a family retail business.
