Pastor Robert "Bobby" Smith

CULLMAN — Funeral service for Pastor Robert "Bobby" Smith, 62, will be Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Journey Church in Eva, Alabama with Rev. Joey Coots and Rev. Gary Driver officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Eva Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 25, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at the Church.

Mr. Smith died on Sunday, March 23, 2014, at Cullman Regional Medical Center.

He was born January 20, 1952, in Morgan County to Hulit Leslie Smith and Bonnie Faye Knighten Self.  He pastored for 33 years serving Pines Baptist Church, Resurrection Baptist Church and Ridgecrest Community Church, where he was the current pastor. He and his wife, Patricia, worked as missionaries

in Mexico and Central America for 6 years. He was Owner and Operator of Bobby's  Fisherman's Catch in Eva, Ala., for 27 years. He was preceded in death by his father,: Hulit "Buddy" Smith.

Survivors include : his Wife of 41 Years, Patricia Smith, Eva, Ala.; Two Sons: Brandon Smith  (Sonjah), Cullman, Ala. and Yancey Smith (Kristie), Eva, Ala.; Daughter: April Hall, (John), Eva, Ala.; Mother: Bonnie Faye Self, (Frank), West Point, Ala.; One Brother: Huey Smith (Tammy), Lacey's Spring, Ala.; two sisters: Deborah Gray (Donald), New Hope, Ala., and Arlita Pennington (Eugene), New Hope, Ala.; Nine Grandchildren: Benjamin, Chrissi, Chloe, Malachi, Payton, Zeb, Olivia, Riley and Connor. He is survived by  a host of nieces and nephews, step-brothers and step-sisters and loved ones.

Pallbearers will be nephews.
