CARROLLTON, GA — Florence Elizabeth Wright Martin

Florence Elizabeth Wright Martin, 84, of Carrollton, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013. She was born May 11, 1929, in Cullman, to Lucian Eugene Wright and Vera Sarah Hill Wright.

Mrs. Martin was a homemaker and a member of the Carrollton First Christian Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl E. Martin; sons, Steve William Traylor and Curtis Mark Traylor; as well as three brothers.

Survivors include son, Michael Glen Traylor (Teresa) of Carrollton; daughter, Patricia Delores Jiles (Steve Chandler) of Carrollton; stepson, Keith Eugene Martin; sister, Faye Phillips (J.W.) of Carrollton; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 28, at 3 p.m. at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel, the Revs. Greg Drake and Gene Bonner officiating, with interment in Carroll Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Clay Traylor, Rocky Traylor, Scotty Smith, Scott Young, Heath Jiles, Ron Adair and Dr. Kevin Webster.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

    Carlton Eugene Stafford, 82, of Cullman passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1932, James and Mary Katherine Brown Stafford. Mr. Stafford was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was the original owner of Carlton’s restaurant.
