Funeral services for Eddie Mae Rodgers, 83, of Cullman will be Monday, November 19, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, Rev Carlos Wilhite officiating with interment at Flint Creek cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mama Mae, as she was known to many, went to be with her Lord on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012. She passed away at Woodland Village in Cullman. She was born April 15, 1929 in Cullman to Henry George and Mary O. Crutchfield Schwan. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oscar Junior “O.J” Rodgers; a brother, Carlton Schwan; and a sister; Sue Mabry.

Survivors include two sons, Clark (Susan) and Neal (Janet) Rodgers; two daughters, Sharon (Buddy) Smith and Shelia (Steve) Cahela; grandchildren, Monica and Dave Dubberly, Heath and Bridgett Rodgers, Cortney J. (C.J.) Smith, Candi and Brent Cupp, Shanna and Adam Shedd, Brandi Taylor, Shane and Jodi Smith, Whit and Briana Smith; two sisters, Edith (Deedie) Marcum and Jean Scott; great-grandchildren, Tristin, Austin, Breana, Sadie, Caleb, Karlie, Hunter, Clay, Luke, Ben, Gavin, Colton and Morgan; great-great-grandchildren, Brena and Oakley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alzheimers Foundation, 322 8th Ave., 7th floor, New York, NY 10001.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 18, 2012 from  6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
