James Frederick Dahlke
Funeral services for James Frederick Dahlke, 76, of Cullman, formerly of Birmingham, will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Kim Cannon officiating, with burial in Valley Springs Cemetery.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Dahlke passed away Tuesday, Sept. 28, at his residence. He was born March 3, 1934. He was retired from his business that he owned, Dahlke Caulking Company in Birmingham and lived there until his retirement in 1996, then moved to Cullman. He was the youngest of 12 children. He played football, basketball and baseball at Woodlawn High School and football at Wyoming University. He loved living on the lake and was a great fisherman. He also played softball for the Senior League of Birmingham, the 65 and over softball team. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Claudia Dahlke of Cullman; a brother, John (Sally) Dahlke of Cullman; a sister, Clara (Robert) Hall of Birmingham; and several nieces, nephews and other family members.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

William Ross Baker, 82, left this world, finished his race and passed through the gates of Glory, Monday, July 28, 2014. He heard those precious words from Christ, “Well done, good and faithful servant, enter into the Glories of the Lord.”

Carlton Eugene Stafford
Carlton Eugene Stafford, 82, of Cullman passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1932, James and Mary Katherine Brown Stafford. Mr. Stafford was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was the original owner of Carlton’s restaurant.
Susan Melissa Neck Werner
Susan Werner died Monday, July 21, 2014, as a result of an apparent fall at her home in Gainesville, Florida. Susan grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and, after graduation from FSU, spent many years in Cullman, where she taught elementary school and received a master’s degree from UAB. While in Cullman, she married Robert Werner and helped run a family retail business.
