CULLMAN — Norma Fay Hightower

Funeral services for Norma Fay Hightower, 77, of Cullman will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Sherman Bailey and Albert Dean Estes officiating, with interment in Duck River Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hightower died Thursday, July 26, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Birmingham. She was born April 22, 1935, in Blount County to Robert L. Butts and Margaret Freda Nuss Butts. She was a machine operator with Cullman Lingerie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harvey Hightower; a nephew, Edsel Sticher; sister- and brother-in-law, Viola and Fred Sticher; and a brother-in-law, Horace Hightower.

Survivors include a sister, Patricia (Edward) Rakestraw; a sister-in-law, Willadean Hightower; two nieces, Amanda (Joel) Smith and Kristy (James) Winkes; two nephews, Wesley (Donnette) Rakestraw and Gregory W. (Amy) Hightower; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

“Therefore, my beloved children, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” Corinthians 15:58.
