CULLMAN — Nicholas Lee Fillinger

Funeral services for Nicholas Lee Fillinger, 16, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at Cullman First Baptist Church, Pastors Wayne Cook and Tom Fillinger officiating, with interment in Cullman City Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Fillinger died Thursday, Sept. 26, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Oct. 29, 1996, in Farmington Hills, Mich., to Eric B. and Julie A. Bowling Fillinger. He was a junior at Cullman High School and a member of the Cross Country Track Team.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jack Lee Bowling.

Survivors include his parents; a brother, Drew Fillinger; grandparents, Tom and Peg Fillinger and Jean Bowling; aunts and uncles, Robin and Wayne Cook, Tara and Dave Carraher, Toni and Wayde Carter, Rod and Cyndi Fillinger, and Jeff and Dorlinda Mitchell; cousins, Britany, Tim, Matt and Cady, Mike, Sam, Liz, Emily and Kyle, Meg, Isa, Abby, Reagan, Gabrielle, Bailey, Alexandra, Jacob, Seth and Samuel; and many more family and friends.

The family will receive flowers, or donations may be made to City On The Hill Church, P.O. Box 854, Cullman 35056.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
