Memorial services for Jimmy Wayne Brown, 63, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at Daystar Church, Ben Murray and Matt Carmichael officiating.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brown passed away Sunday, Nov. 10. He was born April 6, 1950, in Tullahoma, Tenn., to County Henry and Willie Blanche Baker Brown. He was a member of Daystar Church, and very active in the “Foundation” and the “Master’s Hands” ministries. He was a truck driver for 35 years, ending his career at McGriff in Cullman. Mr. Brown loved his family and dancing was his favorite pastime, along with bowling, having been a member in the Cullman Bowling League.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John Henry Brown and Carter Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Karen “Nece” Courtney Brown; a son, John (Sue) Metcalfe; a sister, Doris (Michael) Yeager; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Funeral services for Ms. Sharon Capps Phillips, 69, of Springhill will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2014, at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, Mike Waters officiating, with interment at Springhill Cemetery.
James Edward McCravy
Funeral services for James Edward McCravy, 80, of Cullman will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Hanceville; with interment in Ebenezer Cemetery. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
