CULLMAN — Venora Y. Love

Venora Y. Love, 96, of Cullman entered into rest Friday, June 27, 2014. She was born November 14, 1917.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 30, at the funeral home. Mrs. Love will lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Northside Baptist Church, where services will be at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Fairview. Rev. Jack Collins and Rev. Dennis Trimble will officiate the service.

Venora was a business woman in flowers and crafts for many years. After her retirement, she volunteered in the Woman’s Auxiliary at Cullman Regional Medical Center for 13 years. She was a longtime member of Northside Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and devoted herself to many missions’ efforts.

She is survived by her son, Bruce (Earlene) Love; daughter, Patti (O.T.) Williams; granddaughters, Tina Headrick and Sabrina (Dean) Mangum; grandson, Barry Parker; great-grandchildren, Austin (Carla) Hicks, Zach Parker, Alex Parker, Cheyenne Mangum and Emma Mangum; great-great-granddaughter, Ashlyn Hicks; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Love; and parents, Grady and Mollie Yeager.

    Carlton Eugene Stafford, 82, of Cullman passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1932, James and Mary Katherine Brown Stafford. Mr. Stafford was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was the original owner of Carlton’s restaurant.
