CULLMAN — Archie Bowen

Funeral services for Archie Bowen, 80, of Cullman will be Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012 at Moss Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m., Rev. Samuel Tucker officiating with interment at Antioch Cemetery in Fairview.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bowen passed away at his residence on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 . He was born on May 22, 1932 in Cullman to E.E. “Pat” and Nora Leathers Bowen. Mr. Bowen was a veteran of The United States Army and served in the Korean War. He worked at Americold as a welder for 33 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Louise Bowen and a niece, Brooke Bowen Hill.

Survivors include a son, Leon Bowen; a daughter, Sandi Bowen, a brother, Billy (Darla) Bowen; granddaughters, Crissy (Steve) Boling and Haley (Jason) Burgess; great-grandchildren, Megan Boling, Matthew Boling, Kameri Burgess, Jordan Burgess and Kyndall Burgess; nieces, Paige (Paul) Norris and Hope Bowen; great-nieces and nephews, Kayla, Peyton, Matthew, Lily and Aiden.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012 at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. Please sign the online guest register at www.mossservicefh.com.

    Carlton Eugene Stafford, 82, of Cullman passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1932, James and Mary Katherine Brown Stafford. Mr. Stafford was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was the original owner of Carlton’s restaurant.

    Susan Werner died Monday, July 21, 2014, as a result of an apparent fall at her home in Gainesville, Florida. Susan grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and, after graduation from FSU, spent many years in Cullman, where she taught elementary school and received a master’s degree from UAB. While in Cullman, she married Robert Werner and helped run a family retail business.
