Glenda Hyde McClellan
CULLMAN — Glenda Hyde McClellan died peacefully at her home with her devoted husband of 54 years by her side. She was born Sept. 19, 1936, in Cullman County to Oscar Ervin Hyde and Mary Ford Hyde. She was a devoted caregiver to her family and worked diligently alongside her husband to raise their children and care for their home. She tenderly cared for their special needs daughter (Sharon) until her health no longer permitted. She was a 1955 graduate of Eva High School.
She devoted her life to being a Christian and a good example to those around her. She made time to discuss the bible with whoever had an interest. She was determined to pass along to her children and grand children the importance of being a Christian all their days so heaven could be their home also.
She was a member of the Lord’s Church and attended services at Highway 157 Church of Christ.
She always had time in her day to play and laugh with her four grandchildren as they grew up. There was always a tray of goodies waiting for them. Even in her declining health she would explore books with her great-grandson, Isaiah.
