HANCEVILLE — Audrey McAnelly McDowell

Audrey McAnelly McDowell, known to everyone as “Granny Mac”, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013. She was born May 8, 1921, to Jackson and Hattie Adamson Holloway.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, at Etha Baptist Church, the Revs. Phillip Robertson and Dean Estes officiating, with interment in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.

Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ed McAnelly and C.B. McDowell; and one son, Jackie Ray McAnelly.

Survivors include one daughter, Joan (Earl) Cook of Florida; two sons, Eddie Dean (Diana) McAnelly of Vinemont and Willie Joe (Peggy) McAnelly of Florida; six grandchildren, Tracy Green, Tammy Norstrum, Tina Cook, T.J. McAnelly, Krystal McAnelly and Dusty Green; one stepgrandchild, Matt Hardin; seven great-grandchildren, Jonathan Green, Lucas Green, Will Green, Amber Norstrum, Allyssa Norstrum, Adam Norstrum and Cole Kelsoe; a special friend, Leavell Wilkinson; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
