Funeral services for Dwight Dewayne Rodgers, 67, of Eva will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, Harlis King officiating, with interment in Cullman Heritage Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rodgers died Sunday, May 6, at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham. He was born March 23, 1945, in Cullman to Athel and Maglene Skinner Rodgers. Mr. Rodgers drove a truck for American Proteins in Hanceville for the past 20 years. He retired August 2011 and enjoyed fishing with family during his leisure time.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Rodgers; two sons, Joseph Holmes (Margaret Teague) Rodgers and Rome Rodgers; two daughters, Crystal (Kirk) Teichmiller and Blinda (Evan) Walker; three brothers, Jimmy Rodgers, Levon Rodgers and Roger Dale Rodgers; three sisters, Wanda Gail Rodgers, Martha Sue Henderson and Mary Lou Mann; five grandchildren, Kasey Lawrence, Jesse Cummings, Lacey Watts, Brandon (Candace) Walker and Alisha Keller; and one great-grandchild, Sophia Jade Walker; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
