CULLMAN — Joseph Lee ‘Joe’ Haney Jr.

Funeral services for Joseph Lee “Joe” Haney Jr., 35, of Fredonia, Kan., will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia.

Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 420 S. 20th St., Fredonia, KS 66736.

Mr. Haney died Monday, Jan. 28, at Fredonia Regional Hospital. Joe was born March 30, 1977, in Cullman to Joseph Lee Haney Sr. and DeAnn Marie Arthur Lakin. He was a graduate of Birmingham High School. He also attended college there until he became disabled. Joe enjoyed art work and doing Pointillism. He also enjoyed woodworking, carving out motorcycles, antique cars and was a tattoo artist.

Joe was preceded in death by his grandmother, Vera Mae Haney.

Survivors include his parents, DeAnn and Dan Lakin of Fredonia, and Joe Sr. and Brenda Haney of Cullman; two brothers, Billy Wayne Haney of Fredonia and Joseph Kyle Lakin of Wichita, Kan.; two sisters, Angela Marie Haney of El Dorado, Kan., and Elizabeth Dawn Haney of Marysville, Calif.; three nephews, Hayden and Hunter Lakin and Gavin Eates; and six nieces, Whitney and Summer Young, Taya Reed, Macey and Mackynzy Lakin and Serenity Moore.

The family suggests memorials be made to either the National Kidney Foundation and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
