Funeral services for Charles Edward Clay, 83, of Crane Hill will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel followed with a private graveside service in Livingston Chapel Cemetery, the Rev. Steve Rodgers officiating.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Clay passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, at his residence. He was born April 8, 1929, to Kiah L. and Eleanor Ferguson Clay. He was a welder and was retired from U.S. Steel Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Lois Murphree Clay; and many brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his former wife, Jewell Graves; son, Rick (Linda) Clay; daughters, Sharon (Ed) Lawley, Connie (Roger) Jennings; a brother, Donald (Wanda) Clay; Sisters, Linda (Grant) Crider, Delores (Dwayne) Crider, Jackie Willoughby, Rose (Donald) Lott; six grandchildren, Jeff (Brandy) Tuech, Laurie (Brian) Greene, Darron (Holly) Jennings, Sonya (Mike) Fisher, Matt (Starla) Clay, Scott Clay; 14 great-grandchildren; a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
