James Edward ‘Ed’ Lee
James Edward “Ed” Lee, 85, of Cullman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and friend went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013.

James was a joy to know and love. He was a faithful husband that loved home and family. He was a faithful member of Hilldale Baptist Church for 28 years. At the time of his death, he was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Cullman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Allen Lee and Leland Louise Lee; two brothers, Aubrey Lee and Joe Wayne Lee; and two sisters, Myra J. Lee and Delores A. Lee.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty J. Lee; three children, one daughter, Tamera A. Buckner; two sons, James Edward Lee Jr. and Kent Miles Lee; four brothers; two sisters; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; many dear friends; and his excellent and loving staff of caregivers at Hanceville Nursing Center.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Veterans section at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
