CULLMAN — Montez Page Moon

Graveside services for Montez Page Moon of Indian Springs, Ala., will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at Cullman City Cemetery.

Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Moon passed away Saturday, Aug. 11, with her family at her bedside after a long and difficult illness. She was born and spent her early years in Cullman. She was a member of the Providence Primitive Baptist Church, Eva, and attended the public schools of Cullman County. She later lived in Gadsden, Birmingham, and finally in Indian Springs.

Mrs. Moon retired from Loveman's Department Store as director of security. She especially enjoyed Sacred Harp music and attended performances as often as she could. She was an expert at crocheting, knitting, sewing and was a master of arts and crafts. She enjoyed sharing these with family and friends. Mrs. Moon was strong and caring, and by example taught her family the art of giving and receiving love. Her legacy will live on in the lives of her family as they follow her example of generosity, selflessness, and her dedication to her family. She will be sorely missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Hudson Moon; her mother, Ina Page; her father, William J. Page; a sister, Evelyn P. Grizzard; and brothers, Lowell Page and Quinton Page.

Survivors include one son, Ronald M. (Pat) Moon of Indian Springs; grandchildren, Jason Moon of Indian Springs and Justin (Julie) Moon of Pelham; a great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Moon; a sister, Addie Ruth (Travis) White of Fairhope; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
