Billy ‘Bill’ David Cook

CULLMAN — Billy ‘Bill’ David Cook

Billy “Bill” David Cook, 66, of Hanceville went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 18, 2013. He was born May 5, 1946, to David and Lily Cook of Hanceville.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Neil Cook; and his brother, Tony Cook.

Bill is survived by his wife, Ann Nichols Teal Cook; and his daughters, Kelley Jordan and Debi Teal, along with their husband, Keith Jordan and Robert Reynolds. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Dana Jordan and Cori Teal Patrum; five sisters; two brothers; a host of nieces and nephews; two very close friends, Bill Herring and “Boots” Phillips; as well as all of his loving church family.

He began his lifelong career as a “parts man” at a local parts store. He happily worked there for many years before swapping to a company in Birmingham and became a senior parts salesman. Bill loved his job and made many lifelong friends, including, but not limited to Dennis and Becky of W.W. Williams, Inc. He retired May 4, 2012, after many happy years of faithful and diligent service.

Services for Bill will be at Moss-Service Funeral Home in Cullman on Saturday, April 20. Viewing will begin at 11 a.m., followed by the funeral at 1 p.m. in the chapel. It will be officiated by Dean Burtram and Lonnie Goodwin. He will be laid to rest in Center Hill Baptist Cemetery in Hanceville following the service.

Bill was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, person, and friend. He will be greatly missed by everyone left behind. We love you, Pop. We know that you are watching over us in our time of grief. Remaining true to his character, Bill had requested that in lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to send condolences do so by making a donation to Omega Hospice in his name, which would be greatly appreciated. Any donations should be made to Omega Hospice, 101 2nd Ave. SE, Cullman, AL 35055 (phone 256-737-1793).

The family would like to thank all of the Hospice nurses who provided their time and hospitality over the past few months.
