Funeral service for Jake Chester Stinson , 79, will be Friday, July 6, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Albert Dean Estes officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Cook Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Stinson died on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born March 17, 1933, in Morgan County to Walter Stinson and Irene (Morris) Stinson, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Stinson, Falkville, AL; sons: Billy Stinson (Karen), Montgomery, AL, Terry Stinson (Denise), Falkville, AL; daughters: Becky Bennett (Garland), Falkville, AL, Judy Johnson (Darrell), Shelbyville, TN, Wendy Stinson Collins, Falkville, AL, Stephanie Russell, Falkville, AL, Ruthie Griffin, Blountsville, AL, Patricia Howse, Hartselle, AL; brother: Jimmy Stinson, Somerville, AL; nine grandchildren; one great-grand child.
Pallbearers will be Alan Stinson, Darrell Johnson, Garland Bennett, Craig Stinson, Tim Stinson, and Jeff Stinson.
