James D. Stewart
Funeral services for James D. Stewart, 89, of Hanceville will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Sid Cottingham officiating, with interment with military honors in Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Stewart passed away Friday, Aug. 3, at Cullman Regional Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Jefferson and Julia Ann Alexander Stewart; his wife, Irene Parker Stewart; two brothers, Marvin and Leon Stewart; and a sister, Gladys Stewart.
Survivors include his son, Colonel Joe (Cheryl) Stewart, USMC-retired; two grandsons, Joseph (Cheryl Nina) Stewart and Timothy (Jessica) Stewart; four great-grandchildren, Sofia Stewart, London Stewart, Joe Hudson Stewart and Jacob Stewart; and a sister, Murlene Mauldin.
Visitation was from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Monday.
