Funeral services for Monta Ingram, 94, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m., Monday, August , 2012 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. Edwin Hayes and Dr. Bill Burkett officiating with interment in Cullman Memory Gardens.

Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements,

Mrs. Ingram passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012, at her residence. She was born January 19, 1918 in Tuscaloosa County, Ala. in the Gordus Community to Lee and Elmer Jones. She graduated in 1938 from Gordus High School and in 1942 from Jacksonville State. She married George R, Ingram, the love of her life, in 1943. She taught elementary education for 32 years. She loved working with children and taught children's Sunday School classes for forty years. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed traveling and was happy fishing with her husband. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, George, who recently (July 25th) had their 69th wedding anniversary; two daughters, Virginia Morris of Colorado, Ann LeGunn of Vermont and four grandchildren, one brother; one sister and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, August 6, 2012 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Cullman Funeral Home, funeral services to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to The George and Monta Ingram Scholarship Fund at Auburn University. Make check payable to George and Monta Ingram Scholarship Fund.
