William Clomar Pruett
Funeral services for William Clomar Pruett, 86, of Cullman will be Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home chapel, Jim Walker officiating with interment at Cullman City Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Pruett died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at his residence. He was born February 26, 1926 in Cullman to William Collins and Maye Akin Pruett. He was a technician with AT&T. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He was a lifetime member of The Lions Club, Cullman Amateur Radio Club and fair association.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joneal Lumpkin Pruett; and son, Jerry C. Pruett.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice K. Pruett and Jane (Robert) Batson; a grandson, Dr. Jacob (Dr. Maurine) Batson; a granddaughter, Kate Batson; and two sisters, Frances Dye and Ruth Craft.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alabama Lions Sight Conservation Assoc. Inc., 700 South 18th Street, Birmingham, AL 35233; or the Jerry C. Puett Memorial Computer Based Honors Program Scholarship Fund at the University of Alabama, Honors College, University of Alabama , P.O. Box 870169.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012 from 5 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
