CULLMAN — Mary Gwendolyn ‘Gwen’ McEwen

Funeral services for Mary Gwendolyn “Gwen” McEwen, 90, of Vinemont will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, Bro. Bill Hall officiating, with interment in Ebenezer Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. McEwen died Friday, Nov. 6, at her residence. She was born Feb. 11, 1919, in Morgan County to Thomas Madison and Margaret Wildmon Hart. She was a homemaker and a member of Beulah Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 48 years, Noel McEwen; her husband of three years, Francis McEwen; a son, Harold Gene McEwen; three brothers, Madison Hart, L.P. Hart and Guy Hart; and three sisters, Myrtice Parker, Lorene Drake and Mattie Barnett.

Survivors include three sons, Ray McEwen of Riverdale, Ga., Ronnie (Kathy) McEwen of Vinemont and Rick McEwen of Branson, Mo.; two daughters, Peggy (Frank) Dixon of Cullman and Elaine (Don) Snyder of Hendersonville, Tenn.; she was “Granny” to 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and she left behind a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
