Funeral services for Ivalee Arrington, 81, of Holly Pond will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Brad Hadley and Andrew Chambers officiating, with interment in Union Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Arrington died Saturday, Oct. 31, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born March 21, 1928, in Cullman County to William Sam and Adelle Olinger Hooper. She was a homemaker and a member of Zion Grove Baptist Church in Holly Pond.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Buck Arrington; two sons, Jimmy Arrington and Sam Arrington; a daughter, Sandra Needham; three brothers, Talmadge Hooper, Eugene Hooper and P.T. Hooper; and three sisters, Gertrude Bryan, Nell Hyatt and Ethel Hooper.
Survivors include a daughter, Malissa (Kenneth) Bailey; two daughters-in-law, Cathy Arrington and Carolyn Arrington; three brothers, Robert (Mary) Hooper, Dalton (Gail) Hooper and Larry (Lisa) Hooper; a sister, Carolyn Sue Thompson; five grandchildren, Tina Green, Thomas Rugg, Chris Needham, Lashawna Arrington and Bryan Bailey; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ricky and Joyce Bryan Funeral Expense Fund.
Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
