Mr. Kilgo passed away on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at his residence. He was raised on a farm with nine siblings at Ryan’s Creek in Brushy Pond. After high school, he enlisted in the Air Force during the Korean War and became a Staff Sergeant while there. When discharged, he married Margaret Smith and worked for the Teamsters Union until he retired. He moved back to Cullman County to a farm he loved and he and Margaret bred registered black angus cattle. He worked for Marvin’s Building Supply as a gate greeter for seven years and loved meeting people. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Jerry  and Minnie Idella Calvert Kilgo; four brothers, E.E., Clellie, Novie and Willie Kilgo and three sisters, Nettie Heatherly, Edith Doublemen and Ebbie Dodson.
