Drennen Andrew Screws
Resurrection services for Drennen Andrew Screws will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Moss-Service Funeral Home in Cullman. Mr. Screws was born April 6, 1925, and lived to be almost 89 years young.
Drennen was a lifelong resident of Cullman County. He and his brothers had a service station until he decided to travel to Chicago and purchase a couple of cars to sell. The decision turned into a business career. He was known as an honest and fair Christian gentleman. He enjoyed basketball, fishing, riding his bicycle, old cars, family, and friends. His faith was in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Drennen married the love of his life, Betty Jane Duke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodfin Grady and Corra “Carrie” Lucille Holmes Screws; and his brothers, Harlen (Deanie) and Lerman (Willodean).
Mr. Screws is survived by his wife; daughter, Lisa (Richard) Chambers; sons, Steven (Karen) Screws, Philip (Donna) Screws; grandchildren, Chris (Carla) Screws, Joy (Neale) Morgan, Tiffany (Russell) Mousser, Andy (Caitlin) Chambers, Colin (Carolyn) Chambers, Alex Garner and Austin Screws; and great-grandchildren Noah Morgan, Scarlett Whitehead, Hannah Kate Morgan, Lillian Mousser and Ella Claire Chambers.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday.
