Colene Fleming Higginbotham
Graveside services for Colene Fleming Higginbotham, 82, of Cullman were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at Elmwood Cemetery, the Rev. Mitchell Williams officiating.
Elmwood Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Higginbotham passed away Monday, Jan. 30. Colene’s joyful dedication to others was evident in her service as a registered nurse, most notably at Carraway Methodist Hospital, Sacred Heart Convent, Cullman College, Southern Benedictine College, and Cullman Family Practice. Colene and her family are gratefully blessed by the loving generosity shown throughout her life by the Congregation of the First United Methodist Church in Cullman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Gertrude Fleming; and her husband, Rev. David A. Higginbotham Sr.
Survivors include two sons, David A. (René) Higginbotham Jr. and Dan Higginbotham; a daughter, Colette (Allen) Muncher; three grandchildren, Joseph (Tara) Willis, Brittany Muncher and Lauren Muncher; three great-grandchildren, Kolbe Willis, Caleb Willis and Julia Willis; a sister, Bea Sasser; a brother, Eldridge (Nell) Fleming; as well as many nieces, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation will be private for the family.
