Funeral services for Bonnie Virginia Pitts, 77, of Cullman will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel; with interment in Blount Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Pitts passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012 at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Bertha Moore Butler; her son, Ricky Mayo; her husband, Earney Pitts; a sister, Barbara Eakes; a brother, Billy Butler and a grandson, Jerry Smith Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Paula (John) Chisolm; four grandchildren, Tonya (Alan) Ballenger, Bertha Smith, Gena Callahan and Michelle Wisener; nine great grandchildren, Meagan Ballenger, Mallory Ballenger and Logan Ballenger, Matsin (Jordan) Ibrahim, Auston Davis, Jacob Callahan, Johnny Wisener, Hannah Wisener and Justin Wisener; great great grandchild, Rowan Ibrahim; a sister, Betty Rhoodes and daughter-in-law, Gail (Jerry) Smith.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Carlton Eugene Stafford, 82, of Cullman passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1932, James and Mary Katherine Brown Stafford. Mr. Stafford was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was the original owner of Carlton’s restaurant.

    Susan Werner died Monday, July 21, 2014, as a result of an apparent fall at her home in Gainesville, Florida. Susan grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and, after graduation from FSU, spent many years in Cullman, where she taught elementary school and received a master’s degree from UAB. While in Cullman, she married Robert Werner and helped run a family retail business.
