CULLMAN — Ted McMinn Jr.

Theodore David McMinn Jr., 73, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at the North Miss. Medical Center. He was born Dec. 10, 1938, to Theodore David McMinn and Ovell Phillips in Jacksonville, Alabama. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Tupelo, Miss. He loved his family dearly and was well known for his knife-making abilities.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, with Pastor David MacKain officiating. Graveside services will be 4 p.m. at Cullman City Cemetery in Cullman, Alabama. His body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to church services.

W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors will be in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Linda Collins McMinn of Mooreville, Miss.; one son, David (Christi) McMinn IIIof Cookeville, Tenn.; two brothers, Philip (Marilyn) McMinn of Elberta, Ala. and Doug (Teresa) McMinn of Clearview, Fla.; five grandchildren, Joshua (Stacy) Morgan of San Diego, Calif., Jesse (Cassandra) Thomas of Tupelo, Elizabeth (Jacobs) Keys of Mooreville, Miss., Sarah and Dave McMinn IV of Cookeville, Tenn.; and four great-grandchildren, Emma, Georgia, AnnaBelle Morgan and Jake Keys.

Mr. McMinn was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Laura McMinn and Beth LeAnne McMinn; and a sister, Carolyn Rybarczyk.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Morgan, Jesse Thomas, Dave McMinn and Jacob Keys.

Honorary pallbearers will be his knife-making buddies.

Visitation will be from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1305 Lawhon Drive, Tupelo, Miss., 38804; or the charity of your choice.
