Edith Sticher Whatley

Funeral services for Edith Sticher Whatley, 87, of Holly Pond will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel.

Holly Pond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Whatley died Tuesday, June 16, at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was born April 17, 1922, in Cullman County to Dell and Edna Entrekin Sticher. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Holly Pond.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Quenton Whatley.

Survivors include a daughter, Glenda Nail of Cullman; a grandson, Zack Nail of Holly Pond; three sisters, Louise Hollaway, Wilma (Alton) Bland and Betty (Don) White; and a great-grandchild, Maggie Quinn Nail.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
