Gordon Hobson ‘Hop’ Moore
Funeral services for Gordon Hobson “Hop” Moore, 82, of the Sardis community will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at Sardis Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Moore will lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
Nichols Funeral Home in Addison is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Moore passed away Saturday, June 13. He was born May 13, 1927, in Sardis.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maitlan Moore; his parents, Sidney and Lois Moore; three brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include three sons, Gary H. (Phyllis) Moore, Ronnie G. (Stephanie) Moore and Derrick M. Moore; a sister, Iona Schrader; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
