Funeral services for Rev. Theo P. Hamm, 84, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. James McMillon and Ronnie Cason officiating, with interment in Center Hill Cemetery in Hanceville. Singers for the service will be from the Locust Fork Holiness Church and Bro. Charles Connell from Georgia.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Rev. Hamm passed away Thursday, April 23, at his residence. He was born May 2, 1924, in Cullman to Farley and Pearl Nichols Hamm. He pastored Galloway Holiness Church in Lakeland, Fla., for 15 years and Piney Ridge Church in Arley for six years. He also evangelized in different parts of the United States.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Margaret Hamm; three brothers, Cecil, E.J. and Vondale Hamm; and four sisters, Inez Dunn, Faynell Banks, Rethel Holt and Margaret Hamm.
Survivors include his wife, Fay Turney Hamm; two sons, Feltus (Linda) Hamm of Winston County and Roger (Sabrina) Hamm of Dodge City; a daughter, Janice Hollis of Leeds; two brothers, Glenn Hamm of Leeds and Codean “Dean” Hamm of Cullman; a sister, Shirley Smith of Dyers Berg, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
