Funeral services for Gwendolyn Young Johns, 84, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, Randall Waldrep officiating, with interment in Bethlehem East Cemetery in Hanceville.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Johns died Friday, Nov. 7, at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was born Nov. 15, 1923, in Cullman County to Willy A. and Dessie Mae Ballard Young.
Survivors include four children, Charles W. (Margaret) Culp Jr., Ronald H. (Lynn) Culp, Gwendolyn R. (Rocky) Cook and James G. (Becky) Johns; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Earl G. Young, Doyle C. (Rose) Young and W.A. (Tina) Young; two sisters, Betty J. Beasley and Geraldine (Cotton) Fanning; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
