Curvin, Wilhite, Daniel

John Wilson Curvin

Funeral services for John Wilson Curvin, 67, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, the Rev. Michael Freeman officiating, with burial in Fairview First Baptist Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Wilson died Saturday, Sept. 16, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born in Anniston on Nov. 2, 1938, to James David and Esther Mae Humphrey Curvin. He was a retired brick mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Nellie Mae Curvin, Katherine McCormick; and three brothers, Milton Curvin, Willie Curvin and Melvin Curvin.

Survivors include his son, Richard (Connie) Curvin of Ranburne; two step-children, Daymond Curvin, Brian Curvin; four sisters, Peggy Freeman, Louise Eiland, Aline Kimbril, Rosie Curvin; brother, Lewis Curvin; two grandchildren, Amber and Andrea Curvin; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today.



Lera Fulenwider Wilhite

Funeral services for Lera Fulenwider Wilhite, 93, of Eva will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, the Rev. J.W. Hicks officiating, with burial in Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Wilhite died Friday, Sept. 15, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born in Alabama on May 4, 1913, to Sam J. and Susan Maybell Brown Tyree. She was a retired store owner.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include two sons, Van Wilhite, Lee Wilhite, both of Vinemont; two daughters, Faylene Pinyan of Eva, Tena Whitley of Trussville; two sisters, Lurlene Barron, Lura Surrett, both of Arab; three brothers, Dennis Tyree of Helican, Johnny Tyree of Cullman, Dwight Tyree of Birmingham; 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.



Laura Jane Daniel

Funeral services for Laura Jane Daniel, 59, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, at Walter Baptist Church, the Rev. Sherman Bailey officiating, with burial in Duck River Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Daniel died Friday, Sept. 16, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born in Cullman on Aug. 8, 1947, to Winford O. and Avillar Hooper Denney. She was an instructor with the Cullman County Center for the Developmentally Disabled. She was a member of Walter Baptist Church, past member of Pilot Club, Sewers and Rippers Sewing Club and Cullman Quilter's Guild.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Survivors include her husband, Javon Daniel of Cullman; her father, Winford O. Denney of Cullman; two sons, Tony (Rhonda) Daniel of Dothan, Jeff (Tracyann) Daniel of Springville; daughter, Pamela (Charlie) Herndon of Cape Coral, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, Emma-Grace Catherine Daniel, Laura Elizabeth Herndon, Mary Catherine Herndon, Nicholas Jimentel, Michael Jimentel, Chase Ryan Jimentel, Chase Daniel, Alec Daniel, Haley Middlebrooks, Tyler Daniel and Taylor Daniel; four sisters, Linda Duskin, Sarah Holcomb, Edna Brock, Lisa Compton; and two brothers, William Denney, Michael Denny.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
